Hey Adri. Great to have you back in Texas.
There’s something I was thinking about the other day when I had some news for someone. I told him that I had good news and bad news and asked which he wanted to hear first.
I’ve often heard people pose this question, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard someone ask for the good news first.
Why is that?

Ideally, one wants to go out with the good news. You hear the bad news first so that you can deal with it and get it over with, then you end on a good note. Either that, or you love pain and want it as soon as possible.

For example: I’ve got good news and badnews. Bad News: You’ve got a crazy terminal disease that will turn you into a plastic doll. Good News: You do and will have shiny, beautiful hair. See. The good news totally softens the blow.
