What is there to do in houston for entertainment outside the bar scene?
– Tourista

Well, that depends on what you like to do. My friend Rachel goes running with the Kenyan Way for fun and fitness. Pete plays indoor soccer at Kicks. I like the Miller Outdoor Theater. I know that there are Scrabble Clubs, and Poetry Slam Teams, and Crime Monitoring Websites (if being a vigilante is your thing). There’s also lots of amazing food to be eaten. Not to mention whatever it is that goes on at the new Discovery Green and the Museum District if you are so inclined. The Menil collection is awesome and the Rothko Chapel one of my favorite places on the planet. Picnics at Hermann Park or independent cinema outings are fun. You can take classes at the Jung Center or people watch at the Galleria.

Plenty of libraries. Plenty of live music shows. Dance spots. Soccer games. Baseball games. Art Car Shows. China Town, Little Saigon, Theater spots all over town. Midtown. Downtown. Karaoke. Bowling. Hell, there are plenty of websites devoted to the goings on and whatnots.

The bar scene is great, but there’s so much to do in Houston. You’ve gotta be more specific. And you better go do something I suggested, I didn’t spend time linking to all that stuff for nothing.
