I’d like to see the “bad trip” version of this commercial where the cat gets so hungry he starts ripping the dancing animals to shreds and starts freaking out at all the bright lights.

I personally appreciate when digital representations of processed animal parts choreograph themselves for my enjoyment.

I am also torn. I find it lovely—visually appealing (ravenous?) and engaging. I cannot help but be surprised and enamored of the little touches—the fish, the turkeys, the coloring, the detail.

But…. it’s on crack. Like it’s so off-base for what it’s selling, right? Because to me it looks like it wants your cats to be stoned. “What if one little pop could open a world of wonder?” Is this really the “magic” I want my domestic pet to experience?

I’m just waiting for some dumb kid from the suburbs somewhere to eat a can or two of Friskie’s, hoping to “feed the senses.”
