I’ve noticed a pattern with my relationships. They seem to last 2 1/2 years before I decide that it isn’t right for me and move on. This leaves the women heartbroken and I feel unmoved and unaffected by the whole thing. Am I incapable of actually loving someone or am I just making excuses …
* 1. vanity: I think all blogs should reflect an appropriate amount of authorial vanity. This one is no exception.
2. big-headed: I have a large cranium and I am full of myself.
3. Cubus: A quote I love from Lolita: "So Humbert the Cubus schemed and dreamed - and the red sun of desire and decision (the two things that create a live world) rose higher and higher, while upon a succession of balconies a succession of libertines, sparkling glass in hand, toasted the bliss of past and future nights." The "Cubus" part is a pun on "incubus" and follows a line about impregnating Lolita. This somehow appeals to me.
